Welcome

An extraordinary ceramist and beloved professor, Rick Crown has been creating magnificent works of art from clay for over 40 years.

RickRick has an M.F.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in Ceramics and an M.A. in Latin American History from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and a B.A. in History from New York University.

His work has been shown at numerous galleries, the Mint Museum, Spirit Square, the Fayetteville Museum of Art and the Carillon Building. He formerly showed at Gallery WDO where he had a one man show, "Animal Magnetism" in 2002.

Rick’s pottery creations are available for purchase at a one-day sale each December. (The sale is only one-day because there is never anything left to sell by the second day!) Rick’s work can also be viewed at the numerous art shows to which he contributes at Queens University of Charlotte. Rick accepts commissions for specific projects, as his teaching schedule permits.
